An allergy is the response of the body's immune system to what are normally harmless substances for example pollens, food types, and animals. Whilst in most people these substances, known as allergens, don't cause any problems, in allergic children their immune system identifies them as a’ threat’ and produces an inappropriate response.
Common childhood allergies include
* Allergic Rhinitis
* Anaphylaxis
* Asthma
* Atopic eczema, dermatis & skin rashes
* Drug & medicine reactions
* Food allergies
* Insect stings
* Urticaria & Angiodema
To arrange a private appointment in my clinic I will need to receive an appointment request either from yourself or from your GP. In both cases I will require a referral letter from your GP. This will need to outline what they believe could be your child’s allergic or immunological problem.
